We chose Paramount Midtown first for its position. A few hundred metres from Burj Khalifa and high enough that the city opens rather than closes around you. Altitude changes the atmosphere. Our room was calm and deeply insulated. Outside there is a busy road. Inside there is true stillness. Large bathroom. Clean lines. A palette of soft grey and warm brown with dark turquoise accents that feels contemporary without coldness. Bathrooms are light with dark edged detailing. The armchair in the room is actually comfortable. Not just placed for styling.
Wellness facilities deserve their own note. Locker and changing areas feel like small marble salons with a quiet regal echo. Separate saunas for men and women. Gym shared. An attendant greeted us and carried genuine trainer knowledge offering form pointers with tact. That blend of welcome and competence sets tone.
