We were welcomed with chilled towels and rose water with pomegranate, stayed in a Lusail View Suite with sea and city vistas, and enjoyed a bathroom so spacious that by itself felt like a private apartment with a sea-view tub and Debaser amenities. Thoughtful surprises such as silk sleep masks, a chocolate cake, and fresh flowers added warmth, while adults-only cabanas, family pools, and a state-of-the-art fitness center set new standards. Even the smallest touches, like a Dyson hairdryer and Rosewood brush, reflected true luxury, and the debut hotel already performed like a legend with service at an ultra-luxury standard.
Rosewood Doha gave us more than a stay. It set a standard. A hotel so new yet already so refined that it quietly placed itself as a measure for others.

Check-in was effortless, yet memorable. Chilled towels for refreshment and a signature welcome drink of rose water with pomegranate immediately brought a sense of place. The valet was exceptionally attentive, handling everything with ease. Though the hotel had been open only two months, the arrival already felt as if the team had been perfecting it for years.

Rosewood thinks of everything. Silk sleep masks and memory foam ensured deep rest. Evening turndown brought water to the bedside without us asking. In the bathroom, Debaser amenities, bath salts, and a toiletry kit that even included a lint roller showed foresight. Fresh flowers were not standard, they went further, creating a personal arrangement that lifted the suite. A thoughtful surprise arrived with a handwritten note and a perfectly executed chocolate cake.
The Lusail View Junior Suite Upgrade
We were upgraded to a Lusail View Junior Suite, a corner haven that left us speechless. Large windows stretched across much of the suite, opening both to city and sea, with views that shifted through the day and glowed at night. When we opened the curtains in the evening, we needed no entertainment, simply watching the city lights from the comfort of bed was more peaceful than any show. The suite carried contrast with intention, a dark-toned wardrobe balancing a light-filled bathroom with a free-standing tub overlooking the sea. There was even a sofa in the bathroom, turning ritual into relaxation. Details delighted: a Marshall speaker, wireless charging, Dyson hairdryer from the latest collection, and a Rosewood hairbrush that made it possible to achieve a salon look in minutes, something my wife cherished on holiday.

Room service carried as much weight as dining out. A plate of spaghetti Bolognese with sourdough bread reminded us that comfort food, when done perfectly, can feel as luxurious as the most intricate dish. Parmigiano came as it should, perfect. At Asaya Kitchen, the philosophy was clear: flavor in its purest form, accompanied by an exceptional view of the sea. For a refined afternoon tea, the Butterfly Room is a destination in itself. Its popularity among Qataris, who know quality instinctively, speaks louder than any review. Book ahead, it is always in demand.
Pools, Privacy, and Perspective
Rosewood Doha understands that pools are not only for swimming, they are stages for atmosphere. The adults-only pool offered cabanas that guaranteed privacy, while the family pool and children’s play areas created balance. Water temperature was just right, and the view across Lusail was extraordinary. Watching the city from these pools felt like entering the skyline itself.
Wellness and Fitness Without Compromise
The spa and wellness facilities reflected the grandeur of the property, even though some areas were still in soft opening. The treatment salons were already in use while saunas awaited completion, but this never felt like a loss. With so much to experience elsewhere, we hardly noticed. Instead, we focused on the fitness centre and had one of our best training sessions in recent memory. The fitness centre was exceptional, cold towels individually wrapped in the fridge, to ensure the highest standard of hygien. Kits designed for serious athletes, and a sense that fitness here was not an afterthought but a core experience.
A New Standard for Rosewood
This was our first stay at a Rosewood hotel, and it will not be our last. Every element, from the cultural respect shown in the coral-inspired architecture, to the intimacy of service, to the Dyson hairdryer that made a perfect hairstyle effortless, spoke of a brand that goes beyond luxury to create memory. Rosewood Doha may be new, but it already feels established, as if it belongs.
